Somebody wrote up a lovely lil' review of our set at Artsfest this year. If you live in Birmingham and you've never been, shame on you! It's the best day of summer by miles!

I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER

Hi guys, Ben checking in to let y’all know what we’ve been up to over summer! Firstly, we’ve been in the studio recording some new material for a new album to be released sometime next year. We’ve put three tracks down so far and they’re sounding cool. Be sure to check this website and our facebook page every once in a while and we’ll keep you updated.

We played at Fieldview festival, an independent festival with a great, unique atmosphere and a real party vibe - be sure to check it out next year. We had a great response to our set there, so thanks to everyone who saw us and boogied down, and to all the other bands that played. Shouts out in particular to 360 and Laid Blak, both worth checking out if you’ve never heard them, or even better go see em live!

Without a doubt the highlight of the year, probably of our whole time together as a band in fact, was being asked to play at the Olympics and the Paralympics in London. This was a huge privilege for us and one we loved every minute of! We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who saw us, took photos and videos and showed us some serious love, plus an extra massive thank you to all the volunteers who took care of us over the four days, and to the Roundhouse and Josh from the Olympics who very kindly put us on the bill!

We’ve got some dates in Birmingham coming up in October, and more to be confirmed so check this page and our facebook, twitter etc for more info. Come down and see us so we can have a party!

Peace and love and cheeseburgers,

Ben

I just started typing then a long history of the band just fell out...

So it has been a while since we have let all you people know whats going on! I dont really have an excuse on behalf of the band other than we have been very very busy!

Having everyone from the band back in "Brum" is awesome, practices are better than ever and the new material that we are writting is making the old favourties look like that old pair of shoes you once loved.

We had our 8th installment of our club night Pressure Drop @ The Yardbird, sadly due to some cancellations, there is no video this time! There will be a video for Pressure Drop 9 which we are planning to hold before everyone goes back to uni!

A couple of weeks back we played a show at The Plough in Harborne, its an awesome pub and we had a great night! We might have been slightly loud and a bit too wild for the environment but the reception we got couldnt have been better!

Cocomad 2012 was a good laugh! As most of us are from the cotteridge/bournville area its always nice to play at the local family festival. The organisers treat us very nicely indeed and the crowed are full of old friends and family.

I woke up one morning around a month ago to a phone call from the legend that is Oli from the Roundhouse in London. I was asked if Tempting Rosie would like to perform at the London 2012 Olympics!! I did think i was dreaming for a second, so i had to jump out of bed and have a bit of a jump around. The Round house have basicly asked us to perform from 9am to 12 midnight around the olympic site. There are going to be stages set up, and we will be playing the media/vip areas and loads of other places. Its an amazing opportunity for us to get our music out there.

So if you are around on the 2nd August and the 4th September, come check us out!!

THANKYOU ROUNDHOUSE!!!

It's opportunities like this which help us keep motovated..

Being a band where the majority of us are off studying or working, all in different places around the UK it makes things hard. You don't have the regular gigs and rehearsals to boost band moral and keep you hyped about it all. So the fact that Tempting Rosie have made it through the majority of our uni courses is an achievement that i think has made the band stronger.

It started with myself (Ewan) Jon, Ash, Ben and Matt in our music GCSE class six years ago now. Then of course soon after I asked Laurence and Josh. Laurence then got his cousin Tijhs involved which completed the band. Over the years we have grown up together, all been there for one another, seen plently of crazy girl friends, even crazier ex's, drunken nights, horrible hangovers, band squabbles and on stage accidents, like the time Jon slid down a massive set of stairs of the side of a stage in Sutton AND CARRIED ON PLAYING!!

Tempting Rosie, started off as school kids jamming in the "Drum room" of Kings Norton Boys School and has now grown into eight dudes writting and playing the music they love and getting to perform at the London 2012 Olympics!

Proud of every member of the band, couldn't ask for a better bunch!

Peace out!!

We've been here there and everywhere!

Hello world, we have been very busy! This week we played an auditon for Glastonbudget Festival at the Roadhouse in Birmingham. We got through! So we are now off the play the festival which runs between 1st- 3rd June, exciting! Go and Google that stuff and all the details are easy to find. We also went back down to Brixton to rock the Hootananny once again! It was by far our best gig there, we all had a fantastic night.

In other news, this Saturday 14th April 2012, is our Toaster/Rapper/MC/Resident rude boy, Tijhs Jordan's wedding, to his lovely fiance Cara. It's set to be a fantastic day and we're going to party on into the night. Look out all over Facebook for photos.

Keep spreading the word and supporting us guys, we appreciate it all so much, and we love all of you!

We are still alive!

Hi guys, don't worry are still here and live and kicking! We've all been very busy at work and university but have done some pretty cool thins in the past month. In December we played at the world famous London Roundhouse just near Camden for the Best of 30/30 2012 launch party in association with Roundhouse Records and EMI Records. The compilation album is avaliable for digital download in all the usual places online including iTunes, Spotify and Amazon. Our single 'Makes Me Feel Good' is track 1 on disk 1, exciting. There's the link to us on iTunes; http://itunes.apple.com/gb/artist/tempting-rosie/id480955001.

We also hosted our seventh Pressure Drop at The Yardbird in Birmingham on Friday 23rd December. Our support was from The Reuben James Band and Dubweiser. It was a great night as usual with some fantastic music, dancing and drinking on offer. If you were one of those who missed it then go and check out this video by Chris Hammond Media; www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-cjqwgQv8s

Our other piece of big news is that we're heading to London on Friday 17 February to play at Rich Mix just off Shoreditch High Street as part of the Roundhouse Rising 2012. It's only a fiver, and on a Friday night in London with some of the best up and coming acts in the country it's going to be worth it. Here's the link!; http://www.richmix.org.uk/whats-on/event/roundhouse-remixed/

Hello November!

As we crash into November, we're keeping very busy. Last weekend for Bonfire Night we played the Hootenanny in Brixton, London, and what a night it was! With us all travelling miles upon miles through the day, and going on stage at the latest we ever have, we were all shattered, but rocked the house and the crowd didn't fail to disappoint. From start to finish it was non-stop, sweaty, skanking fun. We can't wait to go back!

Also if you check our events you will see that we're back in London, this time Camden at the Roundhouse on Thursday 1st December, and we return to Birmingham with our club night Pressure Drop on Friday 23rd December, for some Christmas fun.

Some other big news we have, is that we've signed up to McFly's Super City Battle of the Bands Competition. Basically the highest ranked Top 50 according to votes will get to open a show for them, and we reckon we'd be more fun than your generic Indie band. Either way, you can go and vote for us here; http://supercity.mcfly.com/battleofthebands/view/877, so go and do that, share that link, tell your friends, you know what to do.

September/October update

So we've had a very busy week. We have been recording at the EMI Studios at The Roundhouse and Roundhouse Records in Camden, London, to record one of our latest singles 'Makes Me Feel Good'. It was produced by Spider Johnson who has worked with some massive reggae artists all over the world including Lee 'Scratch' Perry and Pama International, so was perfect to add his ideas and produce our latest reggae party track. It is online everywhere on the internet to listen to in all the usual places; Facebook, YouTube, ReverbNation. You can also find us on Twitter. Also we travelled up to Whitchurch in Shropshire to play the OXJAM Big Party at the Blackberry Fair with Kid British. The crowd got going and into us and had a right old party with us and the Kid British boys. We're trying to sort more gigs for us and them throughout the UK, and for our next gig we're back at Hootenanny, Brixton for a bonfire night special on November 5th.

30/30 Roundhouse competition

Tempting Rosie are one of thirty bands that have been picked from thousands of applicants to be part of the 30/30 project. The idea of the project is that each band gets to spend a day in the Roundhouse studio in London recording a track with a top producer. Then all the tracks are put on a CD and released through the in house label Roundhouse records and distributed thorugh EMI!
